Ear Infections

A history of multiple ear infections may be an indicator of a dysfunctional swallowing pattern. When swallowing mechanics are poor, due to mouth breathing and/or a restrictive tongue tie, the Eustachian tubes cannot drain effectively.

Ear concerns such as Tinitis, Vertigo and/or TMD may be interconnected with Myofunctional Disorders.

Symptoms may include:

  • Fluid in the ears

  • Repeated ear infections

  • Ear congestion / itchy ears

  • Trouble clearing / popping the ears

If you or your child is suffering from repeated ear infections/concerns, you may be swallowing incorrectly.
